Courtney is in her third year as MFA design student focusing on lighting, scenic, and media design at the UNIVERSITY OF IOWA. Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, she has worked as a freelance lighting designer for over a decade, as well as owned and operated a production company serving the Northwest Louisiana area.
Previous lighting design credits include MEDIA CLOWN at the Prague Quadrennial, BAD THINGS HAPPEN HERE... at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, SHOE and POLARIS both featured in the Iowa New Play Festival, The Shreveport Opera's FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and COSI FAN TUTTE, River City Repertory Theatre's GREY GARDENS, VENUS IN FUR, and BUS STOP, and many other productions in the Northwest Louisiana area.
Her upcoming works can be seen this summer at the University of Iowa in SWEAT (scenic) and HIT THE WALL (lighting).
